Some vacation hot spots are expecting record crowds this year, beginning with spring break in just a few weeks.
"It's the perennial favorites from Florida, to Mexico, to Hawaii," said travel expert Jeannine Tornatore.
That's why anyone planning a getaway should expect higher prices, and might need to consider alternative ways to pay for it.
"So, really what your best play is, if you want to head to those hot spots this is the time when you redeem those loyalty points and use them for more luxurious properties," Tornatore said.
