Cost of gas, food, housing pushes up Consumer Price Index - UPI
The cost of housing, food and gasoline rose in February after staying flat in January -- the first rise in four months, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said Tuesday.
Overall, the Consumer Price Index showed a modest increase of 0.2 percent in February on a seasonally adjusted basis. Over the last 12 months, all the items increased 1.5 percent before seasonal adjustment.
