'They need our help and our support now more than ever': African immigrant delivers food to DC police officers - Washington Examiner
A woman living in Washington, D.C., after immigrating from Africa, delivered food to police officers to show support for the force amid cries to defund law enforcement departments.
Nestride Yumga and other district locals delivered food to police officers over the weekend and told Breitbart News it was because “our police department needs us now more than ever.”
“These are heroes. When we call them at three in the morning, they show up. … They need our help and our support now more than ever,” she said, emphasizing that “our communities will suffer the most without the police.”
