Swiss police looking for traveler who left $191K in gold on train - MSN

Did you by chance forget about the $191,000 in gold that you left on a Swiss train in October? If so, there’s still time left to claim your treasure.

According to CNN, authorities in Switzerland have recently publicized their search for the owner of a package full of gold bars that was discovered in the carriage of a Swiss Federal Railways train making its way from St Gallen to Lucerne last year. Despite, “extensive investigations” they have yet to find the elusive man/woman/leprechaun to whom it belongs.

Since their bulletin was posted, a spokesperson said, the public prosecutors office have received multiple claims for the confiscated cargo, which are in the process of being checked out. However, if those inquirers turn out to be merely gold diggers, the true owner still has five years to claim it.
